The first few Santa dolls I created (those made with
store bought porcelain) were created for family members and
friends and I delighted in
the chance to personalize each piece to reflect their individual hobbies,
interests, and lifestyles.
The fun I found creating
these personal pieces has encouraged me to offer custom work to my buyers
and collectors as well.
Custom pieces may be done in a certain
theme or may be a more traditional Santa who incorporates some special
touches to make him uniquely yours. Color schemes and design styles also
play a big role in creating custom works.
I will
create pieces similar to those that have already sold in
style and theme, however, the piece will still be a one of a kind original
with special touches all its own.
Portrait work (i.e. creating
a Santa or dog sculpture that resembles someone you know) can be done in
some circumstances.
I welcome inquiries on
custom work. Please
e-mail me with some specifics of the project
you have in mind, or tell me a little about yourself if you would like to
see what I can come up with for you.
Include information on your
interests, hobbies, and details you may think helpful.
The World Wide Web allows us
a wonderful opportunity to work together and communicate on a project
sharing ideas, photos, and etc.
Custom pieces
are priced equally to those created solely out of my mind. As with
those collection pieces, the number of accessories, sculpted components, and
quality of fabric all dictate the price of a creation. Generally
these pieces will have a starting price of $500 and up.
Portrait pieces are priced
considerably higher due to the added sculpting time required to capture a
real person or pet from photographs.
