"Quality Control"
Another Collaboration piece with award winning teddy artist Sally Nichols |

Have you ever had
"one of those days?" The boss looking over your shoulder and in a mood
like a bear?! Rudy is having one of those days now!! His expression says it all... he is not
looking terribly happy to have Red looking over his shoulder as he works...
but who's going to argue with him?! After all, not only would his
shear size keep you quiet, but he is also, obviously, the expert on red bears.
Add to that the fact that Santa trusts him to oversee the bear making section of the workshop and
it adds up to Rudy being stuck with his Quality Control manager!
The
gleam in Rudy's eye shows that he is still going to be a good sport about it
even with the Christmas deadline looming! |

Rudy is a one of a kind art doll, sculpted from
polymer clay and created using no molds or patterns of any kind. His
body was created using a wire and wood armature, padded and needle sculpted
for realistic contours. His outfit was designed and sewn by the
artist and made using a lovely green flannel for his shirt, knitted turtle
neck sweater, and plaid moleskin pants. Rudy measures 14" from head to
toe. His little glasses will help him
with the detail work- tiny thread and extra needles peak out from the pocket
of his leather vest. Rudy sits on a hand made wooden stool complete
with tiny rungs for his feet to rest upon. The whimsy and detail
continue right down to the upturned "elfy" tips of his leather boots. |

Red is a fully
jointed artist bear in red mohair. He is 12" in this sitting position.
He can also be displayed standing and the articulation of his jointed body
creates wonderful expression for him. His leather accents (foot pads,
nose, mouth) and glass eyes add even more character. Air brushing gives
detail and depth to his fur. He is a truly stunning piece.
Red is attached to the base with wire and can
be removed for year round display and hugging.
The rest of the scene is filled with Rudy's
bear making supplies... a pile of fur, an artist proportion figure, thread,
stuffing, and even a box of black button noses and is displayed on a 14 x
14" wooden base in a natural finish.
