While not "technically" a Santa,
George is letting us all know that the spirit of the season is within our
reach! We can all make the Santa suit fit if we believe in the
miracle of Christmas. The spirit of giving and friendship, the desire
to see to the happiness of others- all of this is wrapped up in the legend
of Santa and is the foundation of the miracle that is the Season.
With our busy lives and the stress the holidays can cause, making the suit fit is not always easy- but as you can see, George is finding a way as I know we all can! George embodied all of this for me as I was creating him and I hope his expression, pose, and accessories tell you the same story as you look at him. |

Standing just 12" tall on a dark stained
wooden base, George is wearing an oversized Santa suit trimmed in faux
fur. The suit is created from a deep red micro suede fabric.
A knit top is worn beneath. Tucked into his britches is a pillow to help fill out the suit. The pillow is made with traditional blue-striped mattress ticking complete with faux aging of yellowed areas and stains. His belt keeps everything tucked neatly in place. In his hand is a Santa beard made of cotton which can actually be placed on his face for a fun change. His hat is also removable. |

With his hat removed, you can see his "chrome dome" bald head with a fridge of white Angora mohair. George's head can be turned to vary the pose. George has a one of a kind sculpted head and hands of Polymer clay. Despite the small size, the sculpting is given every detail from tiny pores and lines on his face to realistic looking finger nails on each tiny finger. |

complete with silver buckles.
Should you choose to put the beard on George, no need to leave his hand empty~ Like most Grand Father Claus creations, George comes with a few surprises left for the buyer to discover. |

The Artist's Edition |

|
An "Artist's Edition" in this
case refers to pieces that while technically still all one of a kind
creations, because they are a close repeat of a selected scene, are referred
to as an Edition and given a set limit as to how many times they will be
recreated. The set limit helps to increase value and add collect
ability to the pieces. In the case of "If the Suit Fits" I
am setting an edition size of 10 pieces.
The scene and feeling behind the piece bares repeating and I am looking forward to making each of the new versions of this piece. All will have a one of a kind sculpted head and hands. No attempt will be made to sculpt a face "just like" George's- all will have their own look and personality but will express the same feeling and tell the same story- just in their own way. Pieces will all be signed and numbered as they are created and will come with their own certificate of authenticity and special surprises. "If the Suit Fits" will sell for $325 The buyer will be given a choice between finished pieces when more then one is available at the time of the order placement.
