I have had the wonderful
opportunity to meet and get to know some other, very talented, doll makers
since beginning my journey. It is my pleasure to be able to showcase
some of the pieces they have available here. Inquiries and comments on
their work will be passed along to the artists.
Additional artists coming
soon so please stop back!
Julia
Cooper
Julia is the wonderful
creator and neighbor who originally urged me to take a Santa making class
and she continues to encourage me to this day!
Her creation (pictured
left) is a wonderful Santa piece. Julia is a master of fabric and
accessories and her work has an elegance and style all its own.
This piece is wearing a
gown of blue silk with a shimmering of other tones when it moves. The
over coat is a tapestry fabric of blue spruce and pinecones, berries, and
golden threads. Luxuriously trimmed in velvet and lace the
costume is just wonderful.
This Victorian inspired Santa holds a
collectible mohair Teddy Bear wearing a matching collar, glass pinecone
ornaments, and a sack full of greens, berries, and other matching
accessories. Angora Mohair is used for his curling beard.
The piece she calls Olde World Santa
(for short, Edward) is mounted on a wire and dowel armature and stands
28" tall.

You don't see a Santa like this everyday!
An Autumn themed Santa titled "Autumn Bounty," Calvert carries a basket
laden with fall flowers, gourds, and berries. A pot of golden silk
flowers in held in his arms.
His rough textured garments and straw hat
are in hues of brown and hints of orange and blue. Despite their rough
texture and material, the flow of his outfit still give a feeling of grace
and elegance to the piece.
At 28" he is mounted on a wood, dowel,
and wire armature.
